The Fetish Dress Code is not meant to be exclusionary. In fact, it serves the opposite purpose and is comprised of many facets of wearable leather, fetish, BDSM and kink gear. When Code is enforced, you must comply to get in.
If this is your first time visiting when the Dress Code is enforced, we understand you may feel a bit odd or have anxieties about being judged, but believe us when we say, you will feel welcomed, celebrated and encouraged to be yourself once you step through the doors. Our guests are a diverse mix of global leather, fetish, BDSM, kink and LGBTQIA+ communities seeking a safe, judgment-free and no-attitude space. We are and always will be a safe space for people to come and be themselves. The Dress Code allows us to create an environment of like-minded leather, fetish, kink and BDSM folks so we can create and foster an atmosphere of acceptance.

Our goal is to preserve and celebrate the culture of leather, fetish, BDSM & kink in this space as we’ve lost, and continue to lose, many historic and monumental fetish venues across the country and throughout the world following the AIDS Crisis and COVID-19 pandemic.
The dress code is more than just an aesthetic and our space is more than just a place to drink. This is our history and these are—and always have been—our spaces to step out of (or into) the shadows.
The mundanities and conventions of the outside “vanilla world” are left at the door. Letting everyone in, regardless of what they are wearing, would make our space just like any other, and we assure you—our space is not.
Enforcing a Fetish Dress Code allows us to create an environment of like-minded folks so we can create and foster an atmosphere of acceptance—a safe, no-attitude space where people can celebrate, explore and learn about the things they may be unable to in their day-to-day lives.

If you don't own Code-compliant gear or have a lot of money to spend, there are many options! Thrift stores like The Brown Elephant or Out of the Closet may have some items that work. Sites like Amazon and Etsy offer a variety of low-priced items. If you have a friend that dresses in fetish/kink gear, ask to borrow an outfit from them!
Check our list of suggestions here. We have an extensive list of many local stores and online stores which carry fetish gear at all price points.
If you choose not to comply, that’s 100% fine! But, you will not be allowed into our space on nights/during events where Code is enforced.

If you are trying to meet a bare minimum, you are missing the point of our space and communities and maybe our space isn’t for you.
We understand that you may feel odd or have anxieties about being judged but our guests are a diverse mix of global leather, fetish, BDSM, kink and LGBTQIA+ communities seeking a safe and no-attitude bar. Code is not a costume and our events are not spectator sports. We encourage folks to come into our spaces because they have, at least, a general interest in participating in the leather, fetish, kink and BDSM communities.
If you choose not to comply, that’s 100% fine! But, you will not be allowed into our space on nights/during events where Code is enforced. There are options for you to enjoy the space on other nights and for other events.
